THOUGHTFUL MUSINGS FROM A FUNERAL DIRECTOR

I just finished watching A Familiy Undertaking: POV, which is a 52 minute long PBS documentary made in 2003 about home funerals. It has a great deal of commentary and footage about the funeral industry and the practice of embalming, which I found very interesting and quite accurate. But more importantly, it follows the end of life, death, and funerals of four people who have chosen to have some or all of their services at home. It was a powerful enough documentary that it had the undertaker (me) crying at multiple scenes.
